Is the only way to install it is if the computer has an internal or external DVD attached to it? No way to do it over a network or any other method?
I have a DVD burner on my Dell Inspiron 9200 with XP Pro, but I do not want to install it on this computer. I have a couple of others that can run it, but do not have DVD drives. They are all networked.
Do I need to buy or maybe borrow a DVD drive to attach to the computer I want to install it to?
Thanks for your help, if anyone can help me...

Is there any way to install Vista on a computer without a DV
DVD ( No record ) units are as low as ~$15. A recorder can be found for under ~$45. Easier & less headaches to just buy one & be done with it.

I agree. Especially because the poster will just go through it all again with RC1 and the release version anyway.

Is the only way to install it via a DVD attached to the computer it is being installed on? Is there any way to install it via a network?
I have a Dell Inspiron 9200 "Desktop Replacement" (wouldn't call it a laptop, too heavy for that, but I love it..) I do not want to install Vista on it because of my warranty, and the chance of not being able to access my XP Pro. I cannot afford to loose my current configuration and do not want to have to restore the computer.
I have a couple of other desktop couputers capable of running Vista, except they do not have DVD drives. Am I forced to get a DVD drive for one of them in order to install Vista?
All my computers are networked via a linksys wireless router.
I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.. Thanks much.
